There are few examples of a true continuum of care at one location. In the US, you will find many more senior housing options that offer a continuum of care and allow for full ageing in place. Most communities provide residential living with flexible designs to residents to remain at the community as their care needs change, including offering dementia and nursing care on site in many instances. These types of communities are aspirational, social models that have been very popular in the states, and all care needs, can be met at the same community. As the UK market continues to mature, we think the emergence of multiple care types offered by one operator, at one location, will begin to grow as it creates operational efficiencies and often a better experience for the consumer or resident and their families.
